Sharpen my sword...

As I press forward in this movement I try not to get too caught up in all the shit tht surronds the talent. Afterall it is and should be all about the talent and creativity that I bring to the table. When you have to factor in images, web presence and networking I see why some artists start to slip on their craft. I vow to avoid that shit as best as possible. I have to stay connected to my work, to my writing and vision. I have to challenge myself to try new styles... I want to speak the truth in my music cuz the truth will never get boring or played out. The only way for me to be honest as a writer is to live to my full potential and document it all! I'm gonna freewrite a little tonight and spend a little time memorizing. While research and writing practice does always fit into my busy mommy day I keep it close in my mind so when I have a moment to do ME its the first thing I think of. I know that I have so much growth ahead of me and I truly appreciate the path...
